Develop your Big Mountain skills with an experienced freeride coach to become the next King of the Mountain. This unprecedented program caters to young rippers looking to take their riding to the next level or even compete in their first Freeride competition (Ratio 7:1). No matter what their goals, whether making the FWT or a shoot for Teton Gravity Research, this club will take them there.

Days Taught: Saturdays, Sundays

Session Time: 9:00 am

Ratio: 7:1

Ability Level: 5 – 6

Duration: 6 hours

6 Week Start Dates: January 3rd & 4th, February 21st & 22nd, 2026

12 Week Start Dates: January 3rd & 4th, 2026

If you have booked a 12 week program, please be aware there is a break for Family Day weekend. This means there is no lesson on February 14th & February 15th, 2026. Lessons start again on February 21st & February 22nd, 2026.

Never Skied Before. Or is not yet able to stop with confidence on a gentle slope.
Learning to turn in control on gentle slopes. Usually rides magic carpet. May progress to chairlifts and other easy green runs.
Can link strong snowplow or wide stance parallel turns on green runs. Occasionally skis a blue run, but cautiously. Has experience riding chairlifts (while skiing). (Introduce poles for Children)
Able to ski parallel turns with pole plant. Can ski most blue runs, more advanced blues remain a challenge. Would like to explore more varied terrain including the occasional black run.
Strong parallel turns with a pole plant on all blue runs and easy black runs. Learning short turns, off-piste, moguls, powder and more difficult terrain.
Skis in control in all conditions and terrain. Looking to refine skills in carving, performance off-piste skiing, and mogul skiing using expert terrain.
