Via Ferrata Pioneer Route - Family

For those who aren’t quite sure about this whole “Via Ferrata” thing, this is a quick introduction where under the guidance of a guide you will cross the Hanging Glory suspension bridge and move through the easiest first section of the mountain. Watch out, you’ll probably want to keep going.

Summer Lift tickets are non-refundable. The Via Ferrata will operate in most weather; although Kicking Horse Mountain Resort may suspend, delay, alter or cancel operations due to conditions deemed to be a safety concern, such as thunder/lightning, ice, snow or wind.

The minimum age is 12 years old, the minimum weight is 40kg (88lbs) and the maximum weight is 130 kg (285 lbs) including clothing and footwear.

• Tours available at 2:30 pm or 3:00 pm
• Must check in with Guest Services in the daylodge 45 mins prior to tour time
• Allow for 20 mins to ride the gondola to the top where you will meet your guide -Please note: The second tour time will only become available once the earlier tour has filled. If the later time appears unavailable, spaces may still be open in the earlier tour.
