Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is home to the world's largest enclosed and protected grizzly bear habitat. The Grizzly Bear Refuge is where resident orphaned grizzly bear Boo lives and plays. Visitors are given the opportunity, as part of a one-of-a-kind interpretive tour, to view a grizzly bear interacting much as they do in the wild; foraging, hunting, playing, swimming, snoozing and exploring.

Guided interpretive tours are offered at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:00pm, and are approximately 45-60min. Guests can also follow the signs for a self-guided tour and Q&A with the Rangers in between tour times. The Refuge is accessible by the Catamount Chairlift with a short walk to the Interpretive Centre. The chairlift runs from 10am-3pm, and takes approximately 15 minutes to get from the base to the refuge

Summer Lift tickets are non-refundable. Please note we cannot guarantee weather conditions, open terrain or the number of lifts operating.
